Mya is a double major in Animal Studies and Environmental Studies (Class of 2027). Although she does not have extensive experience with reptiles, Mya is eager to learn more about them and help improve their welfare.
By joining the lab, Mya wants to be able to learn more about animal handling and the welfare of wild animals in captivity, as well as being able to do research for gaps within current research. She has assisted with environmental habituation and gaze-following trials, and as she continues to work more with the lab, Mya is excited to see what comes with handling and caring for these animals and ensuring they are happy and healthy.
