Content Team

Jess is pursuing majors in Animal Studies and Environmental Studies, with minors in Communication and Japanese (Class of 2027). She has six years of experience owning a crested gecko and completed an internship at Buttonwood Park Zoo, where she worked with caiman lizards and tortoises.

Her specialties are enclosure setup—particularly substrate—and the care of New Caledonian geckos. As an Invert colony manager in the HERP Lab, Jess focuses on ensuring all our inverts survive, thrive and breed. She is excited to take part in the research that informs these guides and to keep learning along the way.
